Re-Enrollment Process for Continuing Students

1. Recommended Classes

All current students have been placed in an appropriate class for the next school year based on their academic performance and teacher recommendations. In the rare cases when the child’s performance drastically changes in the last trimester, we may contact you with suggested adjustments to the recommended placement. Taking summer classes may allow for more advanced fall placement. Please check with your teacher regarding available options.

2. Re-enrollment Period

Re-enrollment period has 2 stages:  Priority Re-enrollment and Open Re-enrollment

Priority re-enrollment is expected to start on March 18.  On that day you should receive an email with your child’s recommended class(es) for the next year. You will have one week, till March 24, to reserve a seat in the class we offered to your child. This seat is guaranteed to you during the Priority Re-enrollment Period and is released to other students when Priority Re-enrollment ends.  If the recommended schedule does not work for you, you can request to be waitlisted in another class at the recommended level.  Waitlists will be processed during the Open Re-enrollment period.

Open Re-enrollment Period starts on March 25 and ends on April 7.  During this period you can enroll in any available class at the recommended level.  Seats will be reserved on a first come first served basis, with waitlisted registered students given priority.

 3. How to reserve a seat.

Reserving the seat consists of two steps: (1) filling out the application for the next year and (2) paying the registration fee.

Step 1: Filling out the application  You can fill out the enrollment application by clicking on the link provided to you in the re-enrollment message with class recommendations you received at the start of the Re-enrollment Period.  You can also do so directly from the Parent Portal, or by following the Enroll Today button on our website.

Step 2: Paying the registration fee. Once you have submitted the application in Step 1, your Blackbaud Tuition account will be set up automatically for the next year and will be charged a $100 registration fee. You can pay it via Blackbaud Tuition Management online or by phone any time, but the $100 must be paid by March 25 to reserve a seat in the recommended class.

Important notes:

  1. When we accept your application, your 2024-25 Blackbaud Tuition account will be created.

Note that this is a different account number from the one you had in the 2023-24 school year.

  1. You may note that your 2024-25 registration fee shows in Blackbaud Tuition as being due on June 1st. This is done to avoid late fees being charged now for those families who for any reason choose not to reserve the seats at this time, but have submitted their applications for the next year. However, until the registration fee is paid your child’s seat you requested will no longer be guaranteed after the Open Re-enrollment deadline, and may be released for new enrollment or transfer requests.
  2. At this time only the registration fee will be charged. The first tuition payment for the 2024-25 year is due on August 1. Your accounts will be charged in June depending on the tuition payment plan you have selected.
  3. Reserving the seat for the next year is available to families whose current accounts are up to date. Settling any overdue balance for the current year is required to reserve a seat for the following year.

Please consult Parent Re-Enrollment FAQ document for more detail regarding the re-enrollment process.

TESTIMONIALS

“I have been going to RSM-MetroWest in Framingham for eight years now, and I have loved every year of it. Going to RSM has helped me excel in school, and develop my love for mathematics. The classes not only support the school curriculum but also go beyond it by challenging students with more advanced problems. I love the challenge, and I believe it has only made my interest in mathematics grow stronger. I am truly grateful for the knowledge and skills that it has given me, and I would not be where I am now if it weren’t for RSM-MetroWest.”

– Prakalya Chandrasekar, 10th grader at the Advanced Math & Science Academy

I enjoy advanced math because I am learning about new methods. One of my favorites is the mushroom. With that, you can find the LCM. I like my teacher, Mrs. Alla Farizon. She is very nice and she makes sure you understand the topic. I also like friends in the class. They are fun to play with at break. At my regular school, in my math class, there are a lot of kids who complain about math. But here no one complains about it, so it is much nicer. Every student is excited to learn and the best part is….. it’s math!

– Student, level 5

My son had a wonderful experience at RSM, Framingham, his mathskills improved considerably and was challenged enough to participate in competitions!! Needless to say his school math became very easy for him.

- Vishruta Parikh, August 2018

My favorite thing about advanced math is learning new things. I get new problems to solve. My teacher, Mr. Gene (Sigalovsky) is fun. He explains how to do a method to solve the problem. My teacher is very nice and he is also very fun

- Student, level 3.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you Anna, and the School of Mathematics, for broadening our son's field of vision on mathematics. He has seen many topics and ways to approach them that he would not have had access to otherwise.

- Dar and Einat Efroni, parents of a high school student, 2015

Our son has been with RSM-MetroWest for several years. At the end of the 7th grade he took the Math SAT and earned a perfect score of 800. We just wanted to thank Russian Math for preparing him so well.
